o Sustainable development- a practice in which natural resources are used and managed in a way that meets current needs without hurting future generations
o Loggers cut selected trees, they don’t clear-cut forests
o Fishing takes all healthy fish out of the environment. This could be solved by rotation (rotating catches between different species), fish gear review (keeping up maintenance on fishing gear), harvest reduction (to allow time for population to rise back up), and fishing bans in certain areas
