o Nertic Zone
Coral reefs
o Coral reefs- ocean habitat found in the shallow coastal waters in a tropical climate
o Many species
o Delicate- any environmental change throws them off
o Numbers are declining as the earth heats up
o Biologists make fake coral reefs
Kelp Forests
o Kept forests- cold, nutrient-rich waters made of communities of kelp
o Provide habitat for many animals, from small invertebrate to large mammals
