o Watershed- region of land that drains into a river, a river system, or another body of water
o Eutrophic lakes- balanced, rich in nutrients, lots of diversity, Heterotroph
o Eutrophiphication- negative, chemical runoff causes algae to grow too quickly, blocking sunlight. Decomposers begin to break down too much organic material, deplete oxygen levels, plants die, heterotrophs die
o Ologotrophic- nutrient poor, few photosynthesizers or hererotrophs, cold, water clear, rocky bottom
